The link of the week (well, last week) needs to be something Finnish, and I picked one of my favourites at the moment, Samu-Jussi Koski. The page linked presents all the collections he's made for Marimekko. I am in love with his style that is glamorous and feminine, yet modern. There's extraordinary shapes and new interpretations of patterns found at the Marimekko archives. In the last sales I finally managed to find a Samu-Jussi of my own, a yellow knit top with ultra-wide sleeves. Marked down to 20€ from about 80€! But I still haven't had the guts to wear it. These pieces are also challenging!
If there's any justice in the world, I will some day own this magnificent coat dress. Or at least something with the drop print, which was by the way designed by another Marimekko favourite, Maija Louekari. (Hey, this became not one but two links of the week!)
Also this pattern (Silmikko by Maija Isola from 1967) is great, and I like every item Samu-Jussi designed with it.
I picked this quote from the site linked:
Koski's designs are inspired by the classic "Mari girl" from 1965, who was described as 'A timeless woman who loves life. A woman who is filled with joie de vivre and who refuses to let anything get her down.'
Then, of course, Samu-Jussi Koski also designs for kids. Actually I loved one of his kids dresses so much that I tried it on as a top :)

meeh, Samu-Jussi Koski is not for me...but I still like it to bits.
Oh and thanks for the Helsinki second-hand shopping guide thing done by you!
I love that drop print.
